  • (The cat ran faster than the dog.)
  • Some students walks to school.
  • (Some students walk to school.)
  • Notice how in the first sentence the word faster
    should be used to compare the cat and the dog.
  • In the second sentence, students is a plural noun
    so it receives a plural verb, walk.
