• Effective on January 18th, 2005
• CS Edits are all mandatory edits
• CS Edits are not allowed to be forced (data may
  not be over-ridden)

• For any Histologic Type other than 9140 (KS), if
  the CS Tumor Size 000, then the CS Extension
  must 95.

Suggestions

• Most CS Schemas apply to cases defined by their
  ICD-0-3 primary site codes and some by their
  Histologic type codes.
• The Histologic specific schemas take precedence
  over the site-specific schemas.

• Read all the notes pertaining to each of the CS
  data items.
• The notes provide specific instructions on when
  to use the codes.
• And remember, if you change the primary site
  and/or histology, the codes for the CS fields may
  change.
