  • Interoperability system testing
  • most recently, testing of ISO interoperability
    was undertaken with the University of New South
    Wales and the University of Tasmania.
  • the enhanced requesting facility is now available
    to VDX libraries interoperating with LADD using
    the ISO ILL protocol.
  • six libraries joined LADD in the last few months,
    bringing the total close to 800.

  • Email alerts
  • a trial of the LADD email alert functionality
    began on the 1st February with 40 participating
    libraries. The functionality is especially
    useful for infrequent users of the service as it
    provides an email alert when there is a change in
    the status of an ILL request.
  • we will undertake a survey to examine usage

  • continue to identify
  • trial with the Infotrieve database as a source of
    ILL requests, expected to commence in May and
    continue for 12 months
  • will only be available to those libraries which
    are already registered to use it
  • both parties will review at end
