- GAP process
- The Global Access Program (GAP) at UCLA Anderson
School of Management is a unique educational
program that matches students in the
Fully-Employed MBA (FEMBA) Program with existing
international technology companies to develop a
comprehensive business strategy to enable the
companies to move to the next stage of corporate
development. - The firms work with teams of FEMBA students,
faculty, and Anderson external advisors, making
it an educational process for both the students
and the companies. - After six months of work in December, the
investment grade business plans are presented at
the Venture Forum to an audience of investment
and technology professionals and potential
strategic partners.
5Global Access Program
- GAP criteria for selecting companies include the
following - Two full-time executives plus two employees
- Management commitment of personal time to enable
successful program - Availability of financial information
- Technology based product/service that is
substantially complete or in advanced testing - Desire to expand business internationally
- Cash flow to enable continuing operations beyond
December 2004 - GAP defines technology as the practical
application of science to industrial or
commercial objectives. High technology involves
highly advanced or specialized systems or
devices where technology is an important major
component, core competence, critical success
factor and/or a key differentiator.
