Preterite Verbs

• Preterite means simple past tense
• Preterite verbs deal with completed past action
• The ending tells who did the action.

• Just as the endings, -o, -as, -a, -amos,
• -áis, and -an tell you that the action takes
  place in the present,
• -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, asteis, and
• -aron tell you that the action took place
• in the past.
