International Engine Strategy
  • For 2010 emissions International will be using an
    Advanced EGR solution for meeting the emission
    levels
  • We will NOT be using SCR for emission compliance
  • Advanced EGR will be used across all
    International engine platforms

International 2010 Chassis Effects
  • There are some changes required in the
    cab/chassis configuration due to meeting the new
    emission levels
  • These changes will be shown and discussed in the
    following sheets

New HVAC System

  • Dual mega brackets for DT with 245Hp
  • Larger cooling modules
  • All raised cabs will have dual mega brackets
  • Will impact weight by 70 lbs (32kg)
  • No changes to the following
  • (will be the same as 2007)

Fabco All Wheel Drive
  • WorkStars (7300, 7400, 7500) will have the option
    of a Fabco front axle and transfer case in the
    near future
  • Will have ratings from 10k to 14.6k
  • Will work with most engine/automatic transmission
    combinations
  • Limited availability with some engine/manual
    transmission combinations (doesnt work with most
    10 speeds)
  • No transfer case oil cooler required with the
    Fabco combination
  • Front axle weight savings of 485 lb (220m kg)
  • Transfer case weight savings of 170 lb (78 kg)
  • Transfer case will still be 2 speed

Safety Features
  • Our Diamond Logic Electric System allows us to
    offer safety features from the factory
  • Headlights on with wipers
  • Wipers forced to slow when parked for 60 seconds
  • Pre-trip light inspection
  • Park brake alarm that beeps electric horn if the
    driver forgets to set the parking brake and
    attempts to exit the truck
  • Other nice safety features
  • Auto neutral (with automatic transmissions)
  • Heated hood mounted mirrors
  • Orange safety belts
  • Interior grab handles painted yellow

Hybrid Updates
  • Released a 4x4 WorkStar (7300) hybrid
  • Can get up to a 39k GV/GCWR rating now
  • Currently developing a single axle digger hybrid
  • Releasing an in cab driver display (later this
    year in production)
