The Princess of Wales
  • For the next year and a half Ludlow castle
  • was to be Marys home in Wales. Mary
  • was the centre of her own imposing court
  • representing the King. In 1527 Mary

  • France.

Change of Family
  • Henrys attitude towards Mary and her
  • mother had changed,he realised that his

  • disapproved of by God. He was planning
  • on getting married to his second wife
  • Anne Boleyn.

Problems with the Pope
  • Henry wished to divorce Katherine but he
  • Needed permission off the pope. In 1531
  • Katherine was sent to Kimbolten castle
  • and was made a prisoner there. Henry
  • realized that the pope would never agree
  • with his divorce so Henry broke away
  • from the church of Rome. He then
  • established his own church of which he
  • was the head.
