Why?
  • Student Learning Goal To assist our students in
    becoming more personally involved in their
    writing, editing, and analyzing of their own and
    the work of their peers.
  • Data The classroom data we gathered came from
    the TEKS checks benchmarks and peer and classroom
    assessments

  • Rationale We want our students to be able to
    make connections to their own writing. We have
    done this by giving them the flexibility to
    choose their own topics and find their personal
    voice. Our students were able to be creative
    through their research and presentations.
  • Professional Learning Goal We will collaborate
    using classroom data and writing samples to
    monitor improvement throughout the year.

  • Action Plan We wanted each member of our ALT to
    have the flexibility to use this assignment to
    best suit the research unit in which they chose
    to be engaged.
