  • November 25, 1835 Born Andrew Carnegie In
    Dunfermline, Scotland
  • 1848 Family Carnegie emigrates to the united
    states, Pittsburgh
  • 1851 Carnegie becomes telegraph messenger boy
  • 1855 Carnegies father died and carnegie starts
    to invest
  • 1874 Carnegie establishes his own Steel Company
  • 1880 Carnegie starts writing books
  • 1886 Carnegie's mother and brother die
  • 1887 Carnegies marries Louise Whitfield
  • 1889 Carnegie wrote the book Gospel of Wealth
  • 1901 Carnegie as a Philantropist
  • 1919 Carnegie died on august 11 in Lenox,
    Massachusetts
