• The government was harsh.
• Life was miserable.

• They believed that witches were real and they
  could harm others.
• They werent allowed to sleep in church.
• They thought if you followed Satan that you were
  a witch.

Family Life

• Boys
• Boys will do the outside work like fishing,
  hunting, and other outdoor activities.

• Girls
• Girls did the inside activities like cooking,
  sewing, cleaning, and the dishes.

• Children were severely punished if they
  disobeyed.
• Families had to plant their own crops, raise
  their own meat, and build and take care of their
  own houses. They didnt have builders or grocery
  stores so they had to do everything themselves.

• The girls that started all of the witchcraft
  ideas blamed people so that people wouldnt think
  that they are crazy.
• The accused people were taken to court to see if
  they are a witch or not, and nobody could avoid
  their punishment if they got one.
• The punishment for the people that were witches
  were put to death. Altogether, 25 people died
  during that time.
