  • C - Care about our learning, our classroom, and
    each other.
  • H - Help one another and work together.
  • O - Outstanding work! I expect nothing but their
    best!
  • O - Opportunity to become the best I can be.
  • L - Love of learning.

Stickers
  • Students receive stickers on their chart as they
    work toward the expected behaviors.
  • A full sticker chart will earn them a trip to
    the treasure box!
  • As a class, we will also work on earning various
    rewards together including celebrations, Computer
    lab time, PJ days and lots of other fun stuff!

Going Green
  • In kindergarten at Pine Forest we use a color
    coded clip system.
  • Each child begins their day on Green.
  • Should we have trouble following our classroom
    rules, a warning (pin on teachers shirt) will be
    given.
  • If the undesired behavior continues, their clip
    will be moved to yellow.
  • Should the behavior continue beyond that, we will
    move their clip to red and I will contact you to
    discuss the behaviors we are seeing.

Daily Folders
  • Your child will bring home their folder daily,
    containing all kinds of information, the behavior
    chart and homework assignments.
  • Please be sure to empty, sign and return the
    folder each day.

Birthday Celebrations
  • Ice cream treats can be purchased through the
    cafeteria and served during lunch time.
  • Due to pest problems in the classrooms and
    playground, we will not allow cupcakes or cookies
    to be delivered to the school.
  • Ice Cream can be ordered through the cafeteria
    manager at 281-641-2108.
  • Birthday party invitations may NOT be distributed
    at school. Thank you for following this district
    policy.

Snacks
  • Your child may bring a healthy snack (fruit,
    crackers, cheese, and vegetables) to school each
    day. Please avoid sugary snacks.
  • Our snack time will be around 900 each day.
  • Your child may bring a water bottle to school,
    however please be sure that it has a flip top or
    pop top lidin order to avoid spills!

Report Cards
  • Report cards will be sent home every nine weeks.
  • Developmental stages are noted for reading,
    writing, mathematics and social skills.
  • Reading level must be 3/4 or higher for students
    to be promoted to 1st grade.
  • Read Daily!!!

Volunteers
  • There are so many opportunities to volunteer in
    our classroom.
  • Please see the signup sheets for the different
    opportunities (copy room, parties, field trips,
    working in the classroom, work at home).
  • Any time you can share with our class would be
    greatly appreciated!

Donations ?
  • Please take a whale with a classroom donation
    item and help our class get off to a great start.
  • All donations are greatly appreciated!
  • Thank you so very much.

Boo Hoo Kindergarten Hullabaloo
  • Boo Hoo Hullabaloo will be serving coffee, juice,
    donuts and TISSUES in the cafeteria after you
    drop your kindergartener.
