  • To stimulate actions to fight violence against
    women (VAW)
  • To spread news of Zontas accomplishments in
    this field and on-going efforts
  • To increase Zontas visibility

Message   Zonta says NO to violence against

  • Campaign Principles
  •  
  • This campaign is an ownership campaign Fighting
    violence against women is an integral part of our
    activities as a Zontian.
  • The action is local / regional (projects,
    fundraisers, events).
  • The action is international (via zonta.org,
    social media and DCs).
  • Action and communications use our relationship
    with UN Women.
  • Coordination is central.
  • The campaign is with all its actions a PR tool
    to promote Zontas actions on VAW on-going and
    future ones.

    local/central event
  • Planning will be accompanied by international
    action (CSW), e-Newsletter, website, The Zontian,
    International Committees supporting Districts and
    Clubs
  • Service Committees project competition could
    feature a VAW project and be therefore directly
    linked to the campaign

  • November 25, 2013 Common Action
  • e.g. all Zontians wear an orange wrist band with
    Zonta logo (made available through the Zonta
    Store), pictures will be e-mailed to HQ and
    immediately posted on the Web site
  • Local action in all cities with ZC visualize
    the (reported/estimated) number of victims of VAW
    in the community, media events etc.
  • Kick-off for 16 Days of Activism
