Related Work
  • Existing Ontologies
  • SCM Ontology
  • Lean Supply Chain Ontology
  • Supply Chain Management Ontology
  • Manufacturing Ontology
  • Logistics Ontology
  • Doesnt incorporate plan and source activity
  • Doesnt have the SCOR model approach
  • Can be incorporated in proposed ontology

8
Application of SCM Ontology
  • Understanding a companys Supply Chain Model
  • To better formulate, understand, analyze and
share a companys supply chain management model
  • Supplier relationship management (Third Party
    Engagement)
  • Enabling supplier and manufacture to understand
    each other
  • To measure performance metrics
  • Measurement of performance metrics can be done
with a goal to aggregate common terms, relate
    those to the performance attributes.

9
Future Scope
  • Proposed ontology can act as a frame to add terms
  • Depending on the product manufactured SCM
    ontology can be customized.
