- In Fall 2004, the Ministry of Education presented
Ontario school boards the opportunity to submit a
proposal to participate in the mentoring
demonstration project - HPEDSB was successful in their proposal and
selected to be part of the ministry pilot project

- Provided funding from November 2004 through to
August 2005 - New contract teachers as well as long-term
occasional teachers were part of the HPEDSB MDP - One-to-one mentoring support was provided to the
