Background

• The Transportation Information Management
  System (TIMS) was built as a client/server
  application, to replace the Consolidated Highway
  Data Base (CHDB). TIMS is a flexible application
  capable of evolving with technology trends and
  will provide a base for geospatially managing
  transportation infrastructure. TIMS was developed
  to improve data quality and make quality data
  readily available to the NMDOT.  
• TIMS provides an integrated GIS and Web system
  to geospatially manage linear infrastructures,
  that is accessible and modifiable from either
  the GIS or web environment.
