The Energy Performance Certificate provides
details of the energy efficiency called an Asset
rating EPC is valid for 10 years but this could
change Each EPC produced has a Report Reference
Number (RRN) and linked to Unique Property
Reference Number (UPRN
2The changes that have been made include
- more graphics and white space
- a single energy efficiency graph on the front
page - significantly reduced text
- clear signposting to the Green Deal
- indicating which recommendations could be funded
through the Green Deal - greater focus on potential financial savings
- recommended improvements nearer the front of the
document - text of less immediate interest moved to the back
page. - Use of plain English

4The EPC now contains the Summary section as well
as more information on the Green Deal

6The full list of recommendations are listed on
page three of the EPC and now show the ratings
after the improvements. The EPC recommendations
can have a green tick, orange tick or no tick at
all.
