  natural materials Ex. Mining, farming, ranching,
  logging, oil extraction, fishing
• Secondary Processing of natural materials into
  a finished product. Ex. Wood into paper, fish
  into microwavable dinners, iron ore into cars,
  rubber into tires.

• Tertiary Simply means the SERVICES. People and
  businesses who do things and NOT make products.
  Ex. Lawyers, sales clerk, nurse, teacher,
  mechanic, plumber.
• Quaternary the newest sector. Came about
  because of advances in telecommunications and the
  Internet. Deals with information and research
  development. Ex. Web developers, telephone
  and internet providers, call centers, consultants.
