  (or pronoun) to another word in a sentence

What is a prepositional phrase?

• A prepositional phrase is a group of words
  beginning with a preposition and ending with a
  noun
• HINT Verbs are NOT in prep. phrases!
• Ex.
• The boy in the picture is Bill.

• in the book
• over the wall
• around the house
• against the wind
• to school
• on the board
• through the halls

• THE NOUN AT THE END OF A PREPOSITIONAL PHRASE
• Find the object of the preposition by repeating
  the preposition and the words what or whom
• Ex. in the book
