Gopuram
In Southern India, each tower of the Mandir are
called a gopuram. These are often covered in
life-sized, brightly coloured statues of Hindu
gods and demons.

Shrines
In the centre of the Mandir, is a shrine of the
god\s that the temple is dedicated to. These
often look very human, and are cared for as
honoured guests

Home shrines
In Southern India, as well as worshipping in the
temple, many Hindus will have a shrine at home,
where the family worships daily.
