  • Obtain a sample of each type of US coin (
    Quarter, Dime, Nickel, Penny.
  • Flip each coin 25 times and record the outcome
    either heads or tails
  • Use data to complete a X² GOF test use answers
    to write conclusion and make inferences.

Comments/ Concerns
  • Strengths All coins were U.S coins and weights
    given were based on government estimates of each
    coins.
  • Weaknesses Each persons finger strength is
    different causing amounts of flips in the air to
    be different.

Conclusion
  • At the .05 level with a p-value of .0653 we fail
    to reject our claim that the number of heads
    received when flipping each coin (quarter, dime,
    nickel, penny) will be the same. This means that
    the weight or size of each coin does not effect
    the outcome of the flip.
