  • Taiwan is a very wonderful
    island. It has many cultures, salient features,
    delicious snacks and even the weather. Many
    foreigners had been eye-catcher by our particular
    culture with their envy.

  • I would like to introduce Taiwan night
    market food to the foreigners mostly. No matter
    which place we are, we can also taste the
    different snacks and local products in Taiwan.

  • Just like the steamed buns, stinky
    tofu, intestine noodles, spring rolls, baked
    cakes, crullers and the most famous drink- bubble
    tea. I will also eagerly covet when I'm thinking
    of that. Taiwan snacks are really famous all over
    the world.

    in every country. Maybe the confusion flees of
    the motorcycles and the betelnuts are the most
    representative cultures in their eyes.

    delicious foods. Now we are going to show some
    food for you! So have you ever heard a food
    called Spring Rolls. Maybe you will think that
    how can we roll a spring? In fact the Spring
    Rolls is a kind of food like Tacos!

  • This is a short introduce of Taiwanese Spring
    Roll
  • Speaking of the Taiwanese spring roll, it
    has so various categories among Taiwan. First of
    all, we can divide it into fried one and
    non-fried one. A fried one is very common served
    year-round in the Chinese restaurant. It is
    small, crispy and rolled with meat or sweet red
    bean paste. As for the non-fried one, it is much
    more complicated. The non-fried one is also
    called Ruen Bieng in Chinese, and it is a
    special food eaten by Min in spring on two
    different traditional festivals, either on Cold
    Food Day, or on Tomb Sweeping Day.
    Additionally, Some Hakkas have their spring rolls
    on March third in the lunar calendar. The reason
    why people have spring rolls on specific
    festivals is mainly showing our respects to our
    ancestors

  • And if you come to Taiwan you should eat
    a food called Coffin! It is not a real coffin it
    is made of bread and some pork. Here is a
    introduction to this food. It may sound
    frightening, but it is a very popular snack in
    Taiwan. It is made of a slice of hollow toast,
    filled with vegetable and stew meat.

  • And I am going to show you a food I like
    the best! It is Oyster omelet! When you first see
    the Oyster omelet maybe you will not want to eat
    it. Because of the color of it is grey. But it is
    not only grey but also great!

  • Oyster omelet is a Chinese dish which
    originated in Fijian. It is also popular in
    places with Fijian's influences such as in
    Guangdong, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and
    Taiwan (where it is often sold in night markets).
    The dish consists of an omelet with a filling
    primarily composed of small oysters. Starch is
    mixed into the egg batter, giving the resulting
    egg wrap a thicker consistency. Depending on
    regional variation, a savory sauce may then be
    poured on top of the omelette for added taste.
