Changes from Previous Version
  • Improved grammar and format
  • Added a table describing Treatment Aggregate
    Behavior Summary
  • Added sections on using MPLS for Treatment
    Aggregates
  • Using EXP field of MPLS, hence E-LSP (EXP
Inferred PHB Scheduled Class Label Switched Path)
as in RFC 3270 (MPLS Support of DiffServ)

3
Major Points
  • Treatment Aggregates are grouped based on
treatment behavior required of the network by the
    application/network-user.
  • The DiffServ Code Point should be preserved
    during aggregation.
  • Traffic Conditioning or Admission Control is
necessary and should be performed per Service
    Class before aggregation.
