• This prestigious honor is presented to 20 HAR
  members 40 years of age or younger who have
  demonstrated excellence in the areas of sales,
  leadership and community involvement.

The 2015 NAR Member Profile is Out

• NAR has released its 2015 Member Profile and here
  are some highlights of the survey
• Fifty-eight percent of REALTORS were licensed as
  sales agents, and 80 percent of members
  specialize in residential brokerage.
• The typical REALTOR has 12 years of experience.
• Sixty-five percent of REALTORS reported having a
  website for at least five years, 12 percent
  reported having a real estate blog, and 65
  percent of members are using social media.
• The typical REALTOR earned 20 percent of their
  business from repeat clients and customers and 20
  percent through referrals from past clients and
  customers.
• Fifty-eight percent of all REALTORS are female.
• A substantial majority of REALTORS85
  percentown their primary residence.

Houston Market Movements

• NAR just released its national home sales report
  for May and it shows that sales of existing homes
  rose at the fastest pace in six years an
  increase of 5.1 percent to a seasonally adjusted
  annual rate of 5.35 million. First-time home
  buyers stepped up their purchases, supported by a
  strengthening jobs market and greater access to
  mortgages, according to NAR. 
• In the Houston region, for the week ending June
  14
• New Listings increased 8.0 to 2,889
• Pending Sales increased 23.1 to 2,283
• Closed Sales decreased 13.2 to 1,559
