  • Produces testosterone and sperm cells
  • Located in scrotom

  • Attached to testis
  • Store sperm

Vas deferens
  • Passage from epididymis
  • Curves around bladder
  • Also known as sperm duct
  • Extra storage

Ejaculatory duct
  • Contains seminal vesicle
  • Receives sperm from the vas deferens

Seminal vesicle
  • Adds nourishing fluid for the sperm
  • super vitamins

Prostate gland
  • Below the bladder
  • Adds protective fluid
  • Without fluids the sperm would die in the vagina
  • Semen is sperm and this protective fluid

  • Each side of urethra
  • Secrete fluid that precedes the main semen flow

  • Pouch of wrinkled skin
  • Hangs below pelvic area to regulate temperature
  • Sperm only produced when testes are 2 degrees
    below body temperature

  • Hangs in front of the scrotum
  • Contains spongy tissue with many blood vessels
    that fill with blood when the male is sexually
    stimulated causing penis to stiffen and enlarge
    (erection)
  • Ejaculation-discharge of semen (sperm and fluid)
    about 1 teaspoon of semen contains 200-300
    million sperm cells
