Company History Kalugapribor OAO was
established in 1957 . Initially it manufactured
pyrometric tools and instruments. In September
1959 the plant started producing communication
equipment and was named Kalugapribor. In 1983
the plant was awarded with the Order of Labor Red
Banner for achievements in the field of new
communication equipment introduction. In 1999
the plant got a status of a federal state unitary
enterprise (FGUP) Kalugapribor FGUP. In
December 2011 Kalugapribor FGUP was reorganized
to become Kalugapribor Open Joint-Stock Company
(OAO) pursuant to the Russian Government
Instruction No. 513-R of March 24, 2011. The
company became a member of Kontsern Avtomatika
OAO concern.

Current Company Standing
Currently Kalugapribor OAO is one of the
leading Russian companies manufacturing
communication equipment and systems as well as
protected data and telecom systems. The list of
key Kalugapribor OAO consumers includes the
Federal Security Service, the Federal Guard
Service, the Special Communication Service, the
Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense,
Russian Railways OAO, banks and other
organizations of Russia and the CIS countries.
Kalugapribor OAO has licenses required to
develop, manufacture, repair, and maintenance of
various types of radio electronic equipment. It
manufactures modern radioelectronic and telecom
equipment as well as provides services in the
field of data protection. The company has

Kalugapribor OAO Technical Capabilities
Kalugapribor OAO highly flexible equipment
allows to manufacture radio electronic systems
developed in Russia and abroad meeting
international standards. The company is capable
of producing prototypes, small and serial batches
of radio electronic equipment of various purpose
and to provide maintenance services to its
customers. Kalugapribor OAO quality
management system meets GOST R ISO 9001-2008
requirements. Kalugapribor OAO shops are
equipped with high-performance machinery. The
company has introduced fast modeling/fast
production processes, which allows to shorten the
process cycle duration (from development to
market launch) by 10-15 times, to change the
design and architecture of products and make the
manufacturing of plastic products small batches

Logistics
Kalugapribor OAO is located at a distance of
about 200 km from Moscow. The plant has
convenient access roads for motor transport and
can use Moscow Railways track. Kalugapribor
OAO cooperates with the leading enterprises of
the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian
Federation, as well as other ministries and
agencies. The average number of employees is
within the range of 1,300 1,400 . The total
area of administrative and production facilities
equals about 89,000 m2 The location of
Kalugapribor OAO warehouses allows to
simultaneously handle large batches of different
products using mechanized handling equipment.
The companys truck fleet may transport
small-sized cargoes of 45 m3 (max.) as well as
large-sized cargoes with the weight of up to 10
t having the following maximum dimensions L

Joint venture Possible Business Areas
Taking into account the principle area of
business, availability of vacant shops with all
necessary utilities and the convenient location
of the production facility a joint venture may be
established to manufacture products similar to
the ones currently produced by the company,
namely industrial and household electronics,
communication equipment, electronic equipment for
the automotive industry.
