  different kinds of pathogens and target foreign
  bodies that are harmful to the human body
• White blood cells (lymphocytes) come in two
  types
• T cells ? recognize foreign antigens (chemicals)
  on the surface of other cells or organisms
• B cells ? produce proteins that help destroy
  pathogens
