Rules and Procedures of class

• Two rules
• Respect the person that has the floor
• No profanity
• No longer in elementary school want to treat you
  like teenagers not like little kids BUT if you
  act like you are in the 3rd grade then I will
  treat you like third graders
• Problems will be deal with when they come up
• Clean desks or pick up trash during lunch
• Turn-in work and file work away
• Bins in front of class
• Boxes in the back to put work away
• Front of class for work you have missed or see me
  
• DO NOT TAKE WORK OUT OF THE CLASSROOM !!!!

• Point system
• Everything you turn-in has a point value
• What if I do not get a good grade?
• This Day in History
• T/TH journals
• 1 page report the first of every month
• Turn-in journal with report

• Quizzes
• End of every chapter
• Day before quiz is review day
• What if I did not score so hot on a quiz?
• Quiz corrections
• worth a half a point towards total score
• 40 or below grade recovery
• letter home to be signed by parent
• Tuesday at lunch you do a review with me
• Tuesday after school retake different quiz
• Pass the quiz then you get a grade change from F-
  to C -
• End of semester Project
• Could be on anything we talked about during the
  semester
• Could be any style essay, play, song, family
  ties

Meet with Mrs. Burton

• Have a question or need to talk to Mrs. Burton
• Before School
• Door opens at 8am
• After School
• Door closes at 430 pm
• Lunch Tuesday and Thursday (ONLY)
• Need to be at the door first ten minutes of
  lunch otherwise you can not come back
• Mon, Wed, Fri door will be closed except if Mrs.
  Burton says it will be open (ex project week or
  Interventions on Test)
