  of Maryland.
• As a child he learned to play baseball at an
  orphanage.
• His nickname was Babe because the players
  thought he was young.

  of Dearborn, Michigan.
• He was the oldest of 6 children.
• He was interested in machinery and left home at
  the age of 16.

  Park, where he developed an assembly line method
  for building cars.

Charles Lindberg

• Charles Lindberg was born on February 4, 1902 in
  the state of Michigan, but later moved to
  Minnesota.
• He had several flying experiences including
  barnstorming as a daredevil pilot, enlisting in
  the Army, and the first air mail pilot for the
  Chicago to St. Louis run.

  He was a hero.
• He met Anne Morrow in Mexico and later married.

  navigator.
• In 1932 their first child, Charles Jr. was
  kidnapped and murdered.
• They moved to France and had 5 more children.
• Lindberg died in 1974.
