• The N5412A SAS Electrical Compliance Test
  application
• Supports Gen 1(1.5Gbps) and Gen 2(3Gbps) data
  rates
• Supports the IT, CT Transmit (TX) interfaces and
  the IR, CR Far-end Transmit (TX) interfaces
• Provides automated 81134A stimulus for OOB signal
  tests
• REQUIRES that the PHY (DUT) be able to generate
  CJTPAT, the Compliance Jitter Test Pattern, for
  testing
• Additionally, Agilent will provide the most
  common x2 internal drive/host test fixture
  (Zero-Length Test Load), Transient Test Fixture
  and Transmitter Compliance Transfer Function
  (TCTF) for the IT compliance point testing.

Simplistic 4-Port Server Configuration

• A 4-port SAS controller (host bus adapter,
  usually PCI-X or PCIe to SAS) will have an
  internal x4 connector, and will fan out to four
  individual x1 connectors on SATA or SAS drives.
  In this case, only the primary port will be used
  and the secondary port remains unused.
