Announcements
  • WinGS potluck Thursday, March 4 after class in
    the Family Center.
  • Girlfriends at West Side Gab Grab Friday,
    March 5, 630 PM, at the Family Center. Ladies
    are asked to bring kitchen decorative items (no
    clothes) and 2.00 for pizza. Items not grabbed
    will be donated to the LST garage sale in April.
  • The Ben Janelle/ Josh Harrell Servant Group will
    host a food giveaway and breakfast Saturday,
    March 6, from 800-1100 AM, at the Family
    Center. They are collecting canned food and
    non-perishables. A box is in the foyer for
    supplies. They still need lots of food.
  • Church Planting in Hector
  • We are trying to help with planting the church in
    Hector beginning this Saturday.
  • We will prepare the pavilion for use and knock
    doors to invite people to come. All help is
    appreciated.
  • Notes on place of meeting Hector will not allow
    the church to use a community building
    temporarily, so a pavilion is going to be used.
    They will rent a building when funds are
    available. We are also looking into the
    possibility of using temporary classrooms for a
    meeting place when land can be found.
  • Needed items for cleanup Saturday rakes,
    brooms, moving dolly, cleaning rags, a pickup and
    a couple of strong backs, etc.
  • Long term items
  • Generator and lights until a permanent place of
    worship can be acquired.

    short stay in the hospital this past weekend.

    for a broken hip.

    home, in Charleston, after falling and breaking 4
    ribs March 1.
  • Nadine Jones shoulder replacement March 4,
    Surgery Center, Maumelle.
  • Glenn Homes foot surgery March 5, at St.
    Marys.
  • Sue Martinelli transferred to St. Vincents, in
    Sherwood.
  • Sympathy to Linda Harrell in the loss of her
    mother, Eula Forbis, who passed away Tuesday,
    March 2. A graveside service is March 5, 200 PM,
    in Ozark, MO.
  • Sympathy to Connie Parchman in the loss of her
    father, Bennie Ross, who passed away Wednesday,
    March. The funeral will be in Rosenberg, TX.

Genesis 42 Summary
  • Story of Joseph and his brothers
  • Joseph has become one of the most powerful men in
    Egypt through Gods work
  • Control the entire food reserves of Egypt as well
    as the entire region
  • Famine is ongoing and has affected Canaan
  • Josephs brothers travel to Egypt to obtain food
    however, unknowingly meet Joseph who teaches them
    a lesson

Famine in Canaan (421-17)
  • Jacob (Israel) and his family are significantly
    impacted by the famine (v. 1-6)
  • Even though they are in Canaan
  • Jacob hears about grain available in Egypt
  • Jacobs ten sons depart for Egypt to buy grain,
    but Benjamin stays back
  • Jacobs sons arrive in Egypt (v. 7-18)
  • Joseph sees his brothers, but they do not
    recognize him
