How to (re)read F451
  • Required Use the journal starter at the top of
    the website calendar (at least 3 for every 10
    pages).
  • Please pick one or both of the options below as
    well (you need to go a little beyond your journal
    starters)
  • Option A Find a motif or several motifs and
    follow them throughout the novel (ex Technology,
    emptiness, happiness)
  • Option B Focus on how Bradbury develops
    characters and how they change or remain the
    same.

Format Options
  • (1) Use sticky notes.
  • (2) If you have your own book, you can highlight
    and write in the margins.
  • (3) Keep a neat and well-organized journal.
  • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ANNOTATIONS EVERY SINGLE
    DAY IN CLASS checks will be frequent,
    unannounced, and necessary for fishbowl
    discussions.
