  • Establish attitudes towards EBP amongst
    chiropractors.
  • Identify barriers in the up take of EBP amongst
    field chiropractors.
  • Compare chiropractors to other healthcare
    professionals in the usage of EBP

  • Seven Chiropractors practising in the North East
    of England.
  • Graduates of AECC, Glamorgan, Mctimoney,
    Melbourne Australia and forma Oxford College.
  • Average years in practice 8 years.

Attitude Findings
  • All of the chiropractors considered research
    important for the development of the profession.
  • Only two chiropractors thought research was
    relevant to their practice.
  • None of the chiropractors routinely sourced
    chiropractic research.
  • Chiropractic research was seen more justification
    driven rather than experimentally driven

    in clinical setting.
