  •  Praise
  • Know 4 and define all

6
  • Jesus began each prayer with
  • AMEN -- (I believe) Showing
    Confidence

7
  • (2). Meditation a mental (unspoken) prayer
  • We focus on one idea or word (mantra) to
    distract us from other thoughts.

8
  • If the body were as undisciplined as the mind,
we would never get across the street alive.

10
  • 2. Gospel Points

11
Judgment
  • Wrong to pass judgment on others.
  • But must make judgments of actions in order to
    make moral decisions.
  • It is more wrong to judge another than the thing
    we are judging.
  • Dont take the speck out of anothers eye until
you take the plank out of your own.

12
  • Woman Caught in Adultery .
  • Who was Jesus the most upset with?

13
Forgiveness
  • Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar,
and there remember that your brother or sister
has something against you, leave your gift there
before the altar, and go first to reconcile with
them, and then come and offer your gift.
  • Penitential Rite at Mass
  • Forgive us as ..

14
3.
15
  1. Forgiveness does not excuse anything.
  2. God does not judge us, we judge ourselves.
  • Theological Psychological Teachings
  • Paradigms (what you believe) powers perception
and your perception powers your emotions.
  • Religion is about having the right answers
(all cant be right). God (Jesus) gives us the
    living answer.
  • Living in Jesus, you dont need laws. Love and
do what you will. St. Augustine
  • Laws can lead us to judge others who think
    differently.
  • God is a verb, not a noun.
  • Forgiveness is not about forgetting.. it is
    about letting go.

16
4. FIVE BASIC LIFE ATTITUDES
17
  • 1. Idealism
  • sees only the good and/or positive side of
    reality.

18
Positiveof Idealism
  • The idealist is often a dreamer
  • The one with the visions
  • Sees things through rose colored glasses
  • They see things as they could be and ask WHY NOT!

19
  • Without the dreamer we would not have
  • inventors
  • democracies
  • social reformers
  • The Idealist is
  • creative
  • innovative
  • stimulating to be associated with.

20
Negative of Idealism
  • They sometimes get so caught up in the
possibilities of what could be that they seem
unconcerned about the ideas and feelings of
    others.

21
2. OPTIMISM
  • Sees the good and/or positive side of reality
    FIRST.
  • They will focus on the negative aspects as well
    as the positive.
  • However, they look at the advantages before the
    drawbacks

22
Positive of optimism
  • Generally pleasant people to be around
  • They notice and speak about the nice things about
    people.

23
Negative of optimism
  • They may be somewhat complacent with the way
    things are.
  • Very little is changed by them.

24
3. REALISM
  • The realist is someone who sees things as they
are and tells it like it is.

25
POSITIVE of Realism
  • Very practical people
  • Very open about pointing out the flaws or faults.
  • This can be the reason people tend to stay away
    from them.

26
Negative of Realism
  • Tend to resign themselves to mediocrity
  • To settle for things the way they are.
  • Since there is always the bad with the good.WHY
    TRY!

27
4. PESSIMISM
  • One who sees the bad and/or negative side of
    reality first.

28
POSITIVE of Pessimism
  • If something is wrong or lacking the pessimist
will be the first to notice.
  • This can save a lot of time in the long-run.

29
NEGATIVE of Pessimism
  • Can be dreary people to be around
  • People get tired of always having to point out
    the positive.

30
5. CYNICISM
  • One who only sees the negative side of reality.
  • The opposite of an idealist.
  • Nothing has ever gone just right or ever will go
    just right.
  • For the cynic-
  • There is no such thing as love
  • A happy marriage does not exist
