What is CFE?
  • SPU is committed to provide students with
opportunities to explore the meaning of the
Christian faith and its implications for life,
    academic disciplines and society
    --- Christian Faith Exploration.
  • CFE is a required co-curricular program
    integrating discussion, reflection and community
    service that each student self-designs.

6
Giving all students the opportunity to explore
the meaning and implications of the Christian
faith for life, society and the world
7
Whats the Requirement?
  • Each quarter, full-time undergraduate students
    complete
  • 5 hours of community service
  • 2 Campus-wide Community Convocations or Lectures
  • 8 other campus-based CFE events
  • Students with special circumstances can petition
each quarter for a reduction in the requirement.
  • With over 50 activities weekly to choose from,
students self-design their own Faith Exploration
    program.

8
  • By the end of the quarter, each student
self-reports on the activities in which they
    participated.
  • General reflections on the quarters activities
  • Specific observations on two Community Events
  • These reflections are reviewed by the OCM staff,
and registration for courses depends on
    successfully fulfilling the requirement
