MATERIALYou have several options when choosing
the right Vacation Bible School Material

• Make a good guess on the number of children,
  adults and youth you will have to teach.
• LifeWay materials are very good. They have a
  variety of material. They have small VBS (20-70)
  to large VBS (70-300 or more) materials.

MATERIAL Where else can I get Vacation Bible
School Material?

• You can look at our Fannin Baptist Association
  newsletter which can be found at
  www.fanninbaptistassociation.com, or call the
  association office at (903-583-2210). The
  newsletter will contain a list of churches having
  Bible schools and their dates.
• Call the other churches having Bible school
  before you and ask to use their left over
  literature and possibly decorations.

WORKERSHow do I get teachers and helpers?

• The easiest way is to talk to individuals face to
  face. Start asking people to help you six to
  eight months before your Bible school date.
• Ask each individual you talk to what grade or age
  they would prefer to teach or work with.
• You need to have one worker for every 10
  students
• Enlist helpers to assist your main teacher
• If you have teachers that are under the age of 18
  you will need to have an adult worker to help in
  that room.

and helpers

• Once you have your material for each grade or
  rotation, go ahead and give it to that enlisted
  teacher.
• Keep an ongoing list of teachers and workers by
  grade or age. You need to make a notation by
  their name when you give them their material.

• The first place we think to have our Bible school
  is at our church.
• The church is convenient because most of our
  supplies are handy.
• Be careful to consider where you can minister to
  the most children.

How Do I Budget Money For Vacation Bible School?

• Think of these two things
• --How many kids
• --How many days do you plan to have your
  Bible school
• Multiply that number of kids by 10.

• You can serve snacks that are recommended for
  your Bible school Theme Fun!

• There are lots of theme suggestions in your
  literature.
• Get a coach or school gym teacher to do this
• Always have a first aid kit.
• Make sure you have inside games ready in case of
  rain or bad weather.
