Location

• This place is situated near the Gulf of Finland.
  Only 120 km separate it from Saint-Petersburg.

History

• This lake was named Kopanskoe because of the
  extraction of sand, which was held here. Deep
  pits were dug out and the water amassed inside.

• The water is really very pure.
• The temperature of it in summer is about 23-25
  deg.

The depth of the lake is rather low The reed, and
algae grow there.

• Kopanskoe is full of fish. There are different
  species of freshwater creatures from crucian to
  eel.
