Title: Wetland and Water Quality Slideshow

1
Wetland and Water Quality Slideshow
  • By Matt B. Brian W. Shawn B.

2
Freshwater Marshes
  • They are often found in shallow areas.
  • The plants vary depending on the depth of water
and the location of the marsh.
  • Muskrats, frogs, turtles, and birds are common
    in this marsh.
  • This marsh is found at the shores of lakes,
    ponds, rivers, and streams.
  • Grasses, weeds, bulrushes, and wild rice are
some of the common plants in this marsh.

3
Water Quality and its Importance
  • Water quality is important because
  • if a marsh has a bad water quality the plants
that help give us oxygen would die and then we
would have less plants to give us oxygen . Also
more plants and animals would die.

4
Good and Bad Water Quality
  • Good Water keeps animals and plants alive and
bad water kills animals. Algae can make the water
be bad if their is too much.

5
The Bad Water Quality
  • The water factor can be bad because of the
garbage and other things like trash, chemicals,
    died plants and animals.

6
The Good Water Quality
  • The good things are like good water and oxygen
levels, and maybe good depths and no chemicals or
    anything else bad.

7
Temperature
  • Temperature affects the water if its to hot the
fish and plants would die and if it was to cold
the fish and plants would freeze.

8
Dissolved Oxygen
  • Water falls, wind, rapids, waves.
  • Plants and fish must have oxygen to survive.

9
Particles
  • Large size Particles offer a safe hidden home
for same organisms to hid from their prey and lay
    their eggs.
