-Blind Greek poet from the 8th century B.C. -He
used oral tradition to write the Iliad and the
Odyssey. But did he really write it??

Illiad vs. Odyssey

• The Illiad is the story of the Trojan War.
• It lasted 10 years.
• The Odyssey is the story of the Greek hero,
  Odysseuss, journey home. It took him 10 years.

• The Judgment of Paris started the Trojan War all
  over an apple marked for the fairest.
• At a royal wedding, Eris (The goddess of discord)
  threw an apple into the crowd. Hera, Athena, and
  Aprhodite all wanted the apple. They went to Zeus
  who told them to go to Paris.
