WHAT WERE THE CAUSES OF WORLD WAR I?
  1. Competition among European countries to increase
    the size of their empires.

  • 2. Nationalism Devotion and loyalty to ones
    own ethnic background or country origin. In the
    19th century, many nationalist movements led to a
    widespread struggle for independence.

    themselves. Members of an alliance promise to
