Overview

• Confirmations are the basis for the progress
  monitoring and the capacity planning.
• Confirmations should be as prompt as possible.
• In practise there are different confirmation
  methods
• Order-related confirmation
• Activity-related confirmation
• Retrograde material entries will be dissolved by
  the confirmation.
• The control key of this activity decides about
  the method of confirmation
• Milestone confirmation
• Normal confirmation
• No confirmation

Order-related confirmation

• The order-related confirmation is a confirmation
  of a whole order on the order header level.
• A confirmation to the order can only be
  conducted, if no confirmations have been
  registered yet.

Activity-realated confirmation

• The activity-related confirmation offers the
  possibility to return the order step-by-step.
• Each transaction receives automatically a
  confirmation number at order opening. Herewith it
  is explititely identifiable without any further
  details.
• Each transaction has a control key. Herewith it
  is defined how this action has to be or can be
  responded.

Activity-related confirmation

• The activity-related confirmation offers the
  possibility to return the order step-by-step.
• Each transaction receives automatically a
  confirmation number at order opening. Herewith it
  is explititely identifiable without any further
  details.
• Each transaction has a control key. Herewith it
  is defined how this action has to be or can be
  responded.
• One action can be marked as milestone. This means
  that in case of a confirmation also its
  predecessors are responded automatically and
  quantity-based. A responded action has to be
  released.
