Background
  • The California State Enterprise Zone (EZ) Hiring
Tax Credit is a state income tax credit for
employers who hire job seekers from targeted
groups. Employers can claim up to 31,605 in tax
credits over a five-year period when they hire
qualified employees. Employees must perform at
least 50 of their work within the boundaries of
the Zone. Employers must have an EZ Voucher to
claim the credit.  Only businesses located in San
Francisco's Enterprise Zone are eligible to
    participate.

    selected LUP attribute type(s).

Difficulties
  • Difficulties were encountered while
integrating new codes with codes learned from
class, and modifying these new codes to make them
    behave as needed.

10
Methodology
  • Develop form containing Checkbox for selecting
Landuse Planning attributes and tools for zooming
    and panning
  • I used the form creation process from class, and
combined codes and procedures from class
exercises with codes that ESRI shares on the ESRI
    Developer Network
  • I tested and assessed any bugs that surfaced
    during development, and fixed accordingly.

11
Time Table
  • Day 1-2 Brainstorm and research any
  • necessary new codes to build new custom form for
selecting Landuse Planning attribute types. Have
    tools function together seamlessly.
  • Day 3-6 Create form and code with new codes
  • and familiar codes. Test bugs and fix bugs
    during development.
  • Day 7 Finalizing testing under various
  • scenarios and fix any unwanted outcomes.

12
Results
  • A bug free form tool that allowa me to
  • Select Landuse planning attribute types located
within the San Francisco Enterprise Zone.
  • Upon selection the tool allows me to zoom in/out
and pan in all directions at current or full
    extent scale.

Potential Benefits
  • Allow a user interested in the benefits of the
San Francisco Enterprise zone to obtain business
    opportunity information, both qualitative and
    quantitative, quickly and efficiently.
