• All 34 networks given opportunity to bid early
  2002
• 12 pilots each allocated 5K each
• Geographically spread across the country
• All set their own locally defined targets and
  measured themselves against these targets
• These included
• Patient information
• Centralisation of chemotherapy services
• Nurse led pre assessment
• Hand held records
• Development of toxicity assessment tools/protocols
