History4th generation family owned

• 1871 Founded by Carl Heinrich Hellmann in
  Germany, delivering goods by horse-drawn cart
  
• 1925 One of the first companies to replace their
  horse- drawn fleet with coal powered trucks
• 1935 Large scale consolidated freight terminal
  begins operations
• 1949 Branch opens in Hamburg
• 1960 Facility for consolidated cargo completed in
  Osnabrueck with the first European under floor
  chain conveyor sourced in Chicago by Joachim and
