Current SSSD Alumni Association

• Currently, SSSDAA has no existing web site.
• Alumni contact SSSD to get alumni information.
• It is complex and tedious for SSSD and SSSDAA to
  collect mails and contact back to members for
  keeping records.
• Wastes time and money

• Setting up a web site for SSSDAA would be a
  beneficial to alumni members to get alumni
  contact information and calendar of events and
  etc.

Security Issues

• UserID and Password are required to access the
  Online Alumni Directory to view, edit, or update
  their own name, e-mail address, year of
  graduation for Alumni members only.
• Online Alumni Directory will be used with MySQL
  database and PHP for security protection.
• Set permissions for webmaster to access to all
  the web pages for uploading files.

  to upload files some web pages.

• Webbased interface (HTML, MySQL, PHP)
• High-Speed Internet Access with any web browser
• Easy to add, edit, or view on Online Alumni
  Directory (dont need lots of web development
  knowledge)
• Spread the word of mouth to Alumni friends via
  e-mail to let them know about SSSDAA web site.

Webmaster Functions

• Responsible for building, maintaining, and
  keeping up the web site.
• Knowledge of HTML, PHP, MySQL, and some web
  programming functions.
• Will train one or more Alumni to learn how to
  upload the files to the web site for calendar of
  events and Alumni News.16

• Currently, the temporary web site will be housed
  in the CS department server2 until the project is
  completed and successful.
• - Then, it will be transferred to a new web site
  that web hosting company will provide.
• Currently testing and working on the web pages on
  my own machine and software at home.
• Analyze web traffic on web site to see how many
  visitors view web pages on future web site.

  Association to stay informed and updated.
• Less hassles for mailing the events to the Alumni
  members and attract more Alumni to join the
  alumni association.
• Easy and not time consuming.

Technical Info

• A modern computer with Internet access anywhere
  to the SSSDAA web site.
• Required for the Alumni webmaster to design the
  web site for SSSDAA using Macromedia Dreamweaver,
  Fireworks, Flash, or Front Page, FTP, HTML,
  JavaScript, and PHP.

• Continue working and testing the web site until
  they are successful.
• Meets the needs of SSSD Alumni members.
• Goals to meet the deadline and finish the project
  on time.
• Expects SSSDAA to accept my proposal about web
