- Born in 1945 and Graduated from University of
Cincinnati in 1969. - He is a self-described "guy who's trying to do
some sustainable housing for the future. - He believes our consumerist society is destroying
our natural resources and eco-systems. - And thus
called King of garbage
3His objectives
- To reduce the economic and institutional barriers
between people and sustainable housing. - To begin reversing the overall negative effect
that conventional housing has on the planet. - To provide a direction for those who want to live
in harmony with their environment. - And for this he created the concept of Earthships

Sustainable, independent buildings and system
- Started with individual homes and now, Community
of green homes. - Sizes begin at the 800 square ft to 1500 sq ft.
- Unexpected materials in different ways
- Tires, cardboard, bottles, plastics and glass,
aluminum and steel cans.

Water Catch water from the sky clean and
potable
Water caught from the roof channeled
through silt into the cistern feed a Water
Organizing Module with a pump and filter
The filters clean the water for consumption and
cleaning.

Earthship wetlands, the planters that hold
hundreds of gallons of water from sinks and the
shower are a great place for raising some of the
fresh produce
