  • The tower of London is a series of building
    constructed around the White Tower built by King
    William the Conqueror in 1078 to control London.
    It is called the White Tower because (it was
    said) it was first made from white stone from
    Caen (Williams hometown) in Normandy.
  • Later Kings of England built additional towers
    to hold both prisoners and royal visitors. The
    infamous Bloody Tower (Where the two princes are
    supposed to have been killed) wad begun in
    1597(during the reigns of Edward III and Richard
    II)
