What is SPF ?

• Two compounds are proportioned, pressurized,
  heated, mixed and spray applied to a target
• The two liquids rapidly foam up to create a rigid
  polyurethane foam in a few seconds
• The foam thickness is controlled by the spray
  application technique

Hurricane Resistant Roofing
These are shots of a project done by one of our
Qualified Applicators. Out of Seventeen buildings
in the complex, the lone survivor was the only
one with SPF sprayed directly to the deck, the
remaining 16 buildings lost their roof membranes.
This project was a total of 120,000 sq. ft. This
emergency dry-in was started on a Saturday
morning and completed by Tuesday afternoon, even
with several shutdowns due to continuing rain
showers.

Monolithic Domes Protect 30 Humans and 800 Pets
from Hurricane Frances
When not busy caring for the animals, staff
members watched Frances through the domes' curved
windows, made of a double layer of heavy plastic.
"If we didn't have those windows, we would not
have known that there was a hurricane out there,"
Valente said. "That's how quiet it was inside.
This storm was incredible to watch -- the
horizontal rain and trees bent at 90-degree
angles..

During Hurricane Frances, Valente said that he
stayed in the domes during the entire storm. "I
felt perfectly safe -- experienced no stress
other than worrying about what was going on
outside the domes. But inside, I never once felt
that we were at risk."
