Background

• ME Framework was developed in 2006 to improve
  project management
• MEF contains information on monitoring and
  evaluation principles, arrangements,
  responsibilities and expected outcomes
• PRIDE ME Handbook was produced as an operational
  guideline

Purpose of ME

• Assess achievement of project overall objective,
  purpose and results
• Assess project performance in delivering
  activities and producing results in an effective,
  efficient and timely manner
• Review major risks to achievement of results and
  outcomes
• Ensure that appropriate and efficient
  administrative and financial management
  procedures are implemented and adhered to, and
• Capture lessons to improve project performance or
  develop better programs in the future
