A BIT OF HISTORY OF ISLAM
  • Muhammed M was born in Saudi Arabia in 570 A.D.
  • Ms father died before he was born.
  • Ms mother died when he was 6 years old.
  • Ms grandfather died when M was 8 years old.
  • Ms uncle, Abu Talib, a businessman, took custody
of Muhammed when he was 10.
  • Ms first employment was to protect the Kaaba
    along side his other tribesmen.

3
  • The Kaaba is a large black stone in Mecca,
Saudia Arabia. It is today considered to be a
    holy shrine.
  • In Ms day it was believed to house pagan idols.
  • Ultimately Muhammed became a prominent
    businessman involved in international trade.
  • M got his start in Mecca.
  • In 595 A.D. during a business trip to Syria, M
met Khadijah, a well-to-do widow 15 years his
    elder and he married her.

4
  • Khadijah was Muhammeds first convert to Islam.
  • It is believed that he and Khadijah had a
    monogamous marriage until she died.
  • After Khadijahs death M took 11 women as either
    wives or concubines.
  • M married his last wife at age 50but she was
only a child of age 6.

5
  • In 610 A.D. (M was 40 yrs old) M had a vision. He
believed that the angel Gabriel came and gave him
instructions which are recorded in Surah 961-5
    of the Quran.
  • M claimed that he was told by Gabriel that he was
a prophet, that the world had abandoned true
worship, and that he was to bring the final
    message to the world.

6
The Message
  • 1. All religions on earth were corrupt
  • 2. M was to proclaim the worship of the one true
    God, named Allah
  • 3. M was to receive the true words of Allah,
record them, and bring people back to the
    straight path.

7
  • The Hadith of Bukheri records that Khadijah
convinced Muhammed that this was a message from
Allah, and not a demonic oppression.
  • Eventually this day of Gabriels visitation would
become marked by Ramadan, the most sacred month
    of Islam.
  • (See The Popular Encyclopedia of Apologetics,
ed. Ed Hindson and Ergun Caner, (Eugene, Oregon
Harvest House Pubs., 2008), pp. 278-281.

8
  • In its early days Islam grew slowly since M was
illiterate and had to use others to record his
    communications with Allah.
  • The Hadith is a collection of writings that
record details of Ms life and teachings.

9
  • The first years of Islam were spent in Mecca.
  • At one point M claimed to have been taken on a
night trip into heaven. Here he was introduced to
    all the prophets of Islam.
  • Moses and Jesus were included as prophets of
    Islam.
  • While in heaven M was taught the details of
daily prayers and the basics of Islamic faith.

10
THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM
  1. The Creed (kalima) must be recited by the
convert, There is no God but Allah, and Muhammed
    is his final prophet.
  2. Prayers (salat) must be offered five times a day
in strictly prescribed fashion while facing
    Mecca.
  3. Alms (zakat) equivalent to 1/40th of ones income
must be given to the cause of Islam.
  4. Regular fasting (sawn) must take place,
especially during the month of Ramadan.
  5. A pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj) must be made during
    the life of every Muslim.

11
ISLAM IS A TOTAL WORLDVIEW
  • Islam means surrender or submission.
  • Islam does not mean peace as the politicians so
    dearly want us to believe.
  • Islam directs every aspect of a persons life
your beliefs, diet, clothing, music, behavior at
home and in public, work, politics, etc. which
means that Islam and democracy are not able in
    any way to co-exist.

12
  • Islam demands total submission of unbelievers
    (unbelievers are called the kafir).
  • Kafir must pay a confiscatory tax (jizyat), they
are not allowed to hold a public office, they are
not allowed to marry Muslim women, but must allow
Muslim men to marry their daughters, existing
churches are not allowed buy land or add to
buildings and can be destroyed at the slightest
complaint of a Muslim, cannot ring bells, are not
allowed to evangelize Muslims, Christians must
allow family members to convert to Islam, etc..

13
Islam has several sects
  • Shia followers of Ms son-in-law Ali since M
had no living sons his blood line would be passed
    down through his daughters.
  • Sunni followers of Ms best friend, Abu Bakr.
  • Sufi a hinduistic (New Agey) small sect of
    Islam.
  • Alawite mostly in Syria.
  • Wahabi Mostly Saudi Arabia

14
  • Saddam Husein Sunni
  • Iran (Persia) Shia.
  • Islam repudiates and renounces all other gods
including the God of Christianity and Judaism.
  • The Quran teaches that the 5th and 6th levels of
hell are reserved for Christians and Jews who
    reject Islam.

15
  • Islam insists that Allah is the one true God.
  • Allah is transcendent (not personal).
  • Allah is completely separate from everything
    else.
  • The Bible is corrupt. This corruption led to the
belief that Jesus was the only begotten Son of
God. This is called shirk (blasphemy) in the
    Quran, Sura 572.

16
THE QURAN HAS TWO BASIC PARTS
  • Part of the Quran was written in Mecca early in
Muhammads life and before he had his army.
  • The Mecca portion of the Quran speaks of peace
    and unity of peoples.
  • The second part of the Quran was written later
in Muhammads life in Medina after he had
established his brutal army. This part teaches
that anyone who does not convert to Islam is an
infidel and must be destroyed. This is Jihad.

17
  • What are some Biblical differences between Islam
and Christianity, between the Quran and the
    Bible?

18
Genesis 131
  • 31And God saw every thing that he had made,
and, behold, it was very good. And the evening
and the morning were the sixth day.

19
Then came sin and The Curse
  • 14And the LORD God said unto the serpent,
Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed
above all cattle, and above every beast of the
field upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust
shalt thou eat all the days of thy life 15And I
will put enmity between thee and the woman, and
between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise
thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
    Genesis 314-15

20
The seed (Jesus) of the woman (Eve) will one day
crush the head of the serpent (Satan), but the
seed (Jesus) of the woman will only have a
temporary wound at the hand of Satan
crucifixion, but then, RESURRECTION!
  • 15And I will put enmity between thee and the
woman, and between thy seed and her seed it the
seed of the woman shall bruise thy Satans
head, and thou Satan shalt bruise his
    Messiahs heel. Genesis 315

21
  • Jesus is the true genetic seed
  • of the woman.

22
Galatians 44-7
  • 4But when the fulness of the time was come,
God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made
under the law, 5To redeem them that were under
the law, that we might receive the adoption of
sons. 6And because ye are sons, God hath sent
forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts,
crying, Abba, Father. 7Wherefore thou art no more
a servant, but a son and if a son, then an heir
    of God through Christ.

23
Hebrews 214-18
  • 14Forasmuch then as the children are
partakers of flesh and blood, he Jesus also
himself likewise took part of the same that
through death he might destroy him that had the
power of death, that is, the devil 15And deliver
them who through fear of death were all their
lifetime subject to bondage. 16For verily he took
not on him the nature of angels but he took on
    him the seed of Abraham.

24
Hebrews 214-18 continues
  • 17Wherefore in all things it behoved him Jesus
to be made like unto his brethren, that he might
be a merciful and faithful high priest in things
pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the
sins of the people. 18For in that he himself hath
suffered being tempted, he is able to succour
    them that are tempted.

25
Jesus the promised seed of AbrahamSelected
verses from Lukes genealogy of Jesus
  • Luke 323 23And Jesus himself began to be about
thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the
son of Joseph, which was the son-in-law of
    Heli,
  • Luke 334 34Which was the son of Jacob, which
was the son of Isaac, not Ishmael which was the
    son of Abraham,
  • Luke 338 38Which was the son of Enos, which
was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam,
which was the son of God.

26
Isaiah 5920
  • 20And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and
unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob,
    saith the LORD.

27
Isaiah 714
  • 14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you
a sign Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear
a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

28
Luke 130-35
  • 30And the angel said unto her, Fear not,
Mary for thou hast found favour with God. 31And,
behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
  • Jesus is born of a virgin as foretold by Isaiah

29
Jesus was VIRGIN-BORN.
  • 14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a
sign Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a
son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah
    714).
  • to see other uses of almahvirgin see below
  • 16And the damsel was very fair to look
upon, a virgin, neither had any man known
    her(Gen.2416.
  • 43Behold, I stand by the well of water
and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin
cometh forth to draw water, (Genesis 2443)

30
Luke 130-35
  • 32He Jesus shall be great, and shall be
called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God
shall give unto him the throne of his father
David 33And he shall reign over the house of
Jacob for ever and of his kingdom there shall be
no end. 34Then said Mary unto the angel, How
shall this be, seeing I know not a man (virgin)?
35And the angel answered and said unto her, The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of
the Highest shall overshadow thee therefore also
that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall
be called the Son of God.

31
Matthew 120-23
  • 20But while he Joseph thought on these
things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared
unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of
David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife
for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy
Ghost. 21And she shall bring forth a son, and
thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall save
    his people from their sins.

32
Matthew 120-23
  • 22Now all this was done, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the
prophet, saying, 23Behold, a virgin shall be with
child, and shall bring forth a son, and they
shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
    interpreted is, God with us.
  • Jesus is Emmanuel Who is God with us!
  • Jesus is God the Son!

33
Matthew 16, 16 Genealogy of Joseph, Marys
husband
  • 6And Jesse begat David the king and David
the king begat Solomon of her that had been the
    wife of Urias
  • 16And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary,
of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
  • Jesus inherited the royal rights to the
throne of David through His legal not
biological father, Joseph, who was a direct
descendent of King David through his son, Solomon.

34
Luke 323, 31, 38 Genealogy of Mary
  • 23And Jesus himself began to be about thirty
years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of
Joseph, which was the son -in-law of Heli,
  • 31Which was the son of Melea, which was the
son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha,
which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of
    David,
  • 38Which was the son of Enos, which was the
son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was
    the son of God.

35
Jesus the legal and royal heirto the throne of
King David
  • Jesus inherited the legal rights to the throne of
David through his biological mother, Mary, who
was a descendent of Davids son, Nathan.
  • Nathan was the royal heir to Davids throne by
birth orderNathan was Solomons older brother.
Solomons blood line had been refused Davids
throne because of the sin of Jeconiah (see
    Jeremiah 2224-30 3314-17)

36
  • Adam-Noah-Abraham-Isaac-Jacob-
  • King David
  • Nathan Solomon
  • Mary Joseph
  • King Jesus Christ
  • Legal and Royal rights to the throne!

Older son
Younger son
37
  • The seed of the woman, Eve, would one day crush
the head of the serpent, Satan.
  • The seed of the woman, Mary, is Jesus, her
virgin- born first child (Emmanuel God with
    us).
  • Jesus fulfilled the prophecies that said the
Messiah would inherit the throne of King David
Jesus was the legal and royal heir to Davids
    throne.
  • Jesus is the last of the Davidic linehe never
marr- ied and had no children. He is the end of
    the line!
  • The Lord Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah!!!!
  • Jesus is GOD THE SON, GOD WITH US!!!!

38
  • Islam claims that Jesus was the son of Mary and
that He was a prophet, but not God the Son and
not the crucified and resurrected Son of the God
    of the Bible.

39
Islams Quran, Yahya Bin Shamoon
  • Muhammed firmly believed that he was the
prophet of Allah and Jesus was not the Son of God
and that the Quran was the revealed Word of God
    (see Suras chapters 359, 572, 110-119, and
    1095, 96).
  • Muhammed was familiar with the message of the
    Bible.

40
  • Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris (May 13, 2005)
  • "We have ruled the world before, and by Allah,
the day will come when we will rule the entire
world again. The day will come when we will rule
America. The day will come when we will rule
Britain and the entire world - except for the
Jews. The Jews will not enjoy a life of
tranquility under our rule... the day will come
when everything will be relieved of the Jews...
listen to the prophet Mohammad, who tells you
about the evil end that awaits the Jews 'The
stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish
    off every Jew.'"

41
  • What is the Islamic motivation? There are three
motivations for the Arab desire to annihilate the
Jews and retake both Israel and Jerusalem.

42
  • 1) A portion of the Koran states that once a land
has been conquered for Allah, it must remain an
Islamic land. The Arabs conquered the land and
city in the Middle Ages when they drove the
Crusaders out. They now feel compelled by the
    Koran to reconquer it.

43
  • 2) The re-establishment of the state of Israel is
viewed by Muslim clerics as a judgment of God
upon the Arab peoples for their lack of
faithfulness to Islam. They must redeem
themselves from this judgment by returning to the
fundamentals of Islam and then, having been
spiritually revived, Allah will empower them to
regain both the land and the city.

44
  • 3) Arabs believe that their control of Jerusalem
and its Temple Mount will certify their
    superiority over both Judaism and
Christianity. This kind of thinking cannot be
reasoned with, it cannot be appeased, it cannot
be bargained with. Such hatred is evil and
    Satanically motivated in origin.

45
Will the Muslims finally act on their hatred?
  • Yes. Ezekiel 38 39 prophecys that Russia
and the Islamic nations will ally and mount a
titanic offensive against Israel. At a population
ratio of 662 to 1, Israel has no chance. But, God
will personally intervene so the nations will
know that He is the LORD (397). The slaughter of
the Russian/Islamic army will be so complete that
it will take Israel 7 months to bury the dead
(3912), and the equipment and fuel left will
supply Israels fuel needs for 7 years (399).

46
Ezekiel 38-39
  • Islam will experience a defeat so overwhelming
and so humiliating that the eyes of millions of
Muslims will be opened to the fact that Allah is
a false god. At that point their hearts will be
opened to the true God - a God of loving kindness
who came to this earth and died for the sins of
    Mankind.
  • He is the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ

47
  • How should we pray?1) Let us pray for our
leaders, that they will be able to discern the
spiritual nature of the war we are engaged in.2)
Let us pray for the leaders of Israel, that they
will turn to God for their protection and stop
seeking it through America and through trying to
appease an enemy whose goal is to annihilate
them.3) Let us pray for the Islamic world, that
Muslims everywhere will have their hearts opened
to the Gospel.4) And let us daily cry out from
the depths of our hearts, "Maranatha!" Come
    quickly, Lord Jesus!

48
Ergun Caner, President of Liberty Theological
Seminary and former Muslim says
  • Islam is best understood as a form of Medieval
    Mormonism.
  • Joseph Smith and Muhammed assumed the classic
    stance of a cult.
  • Both were going to replace and correct
    Christianity.
  • Both took the people of the Bible, changed the
stories of the Bible, omitted what they did not
    like and replaced the rest.

49
  • Both Islam and Mormonism change significantly the
    teachings of the Bible.
  • Both claim that Jesus was a prophet, but not God.
  • Both place their prophet as the final prophet.
  • Both deny the vicarious atonement of Jesus
    Christ.
  • Both deny salvation is by grace through faith and
    not of works (Ephesians 28-10).
  • Both assess a 2nd class status to women, both
temporarily through polygamy and eternally as
sexual servants (celestial brides in Mormonism
and perpetual servant virgins in Islam.

50
  • Both teach a different Jesus than the Lord Jesus
    Christ of the Bible.
  • The Quran presents a Jesus (Isa) who declares
his humanity in the cradle (Surah 5), denies his
own divinity (Surah 19), and prophesies the
    coming of Muhammed (Surah 61).

51
  • All cults attempt to either correct Christianity
or replace Christianity, and all cults view
themselves as the sole voice for God on the
Earth. Islam does this as well.
  • The Allah of the Quran and the God of the Bible
have little in common. Islam denies the
Fatherhood of God, the divinity of the Son, and
the person of the Holy Spirit.

52
  • M was not ignorant concerning the Trinity he
specifically denied the Trinity, and in so doing,
denied the God of the Bible. Those in the
Christian community who desire to use Allah as
a common name for God ignore a central
understanding of Biblical salvation. Before a
person can become saved, he must first recognize
he is lost. Islam, like all other world
religions, is not partially right. It is
    completely wrong.

53
THE TESTIMONY OF THE QURAN
  • The Quran teaches many truthful ideas about
the Prophet Jesus of the Bible.
  • Three Surahs (chapters) are named after
    references to Jesus the Prophet.
  • Jesus is spoken of in fifteen Surahs (93
    verses).
  • Jesus is referenced more than any other
    person in the entire Quran!

54
THE QURAN TEACHES
  • Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead (349,
    5113),
  • Jesus was born of the virgin Mary (345-47,
    2350, 1916-22),
  • Jesus brought the Gospel to the Jewish people
    (349-51, 1338),
  • Jesus was an apostle and prophet of God (349,
    685-90).

55
THE QURAN TEACHES
  • Jesus alone is supported by the Holy Spirit
    (287, 253),
  • Jesus alone is called the Word of God (345,
    4171),
  • Jesus alone is called the Messiah (345, 4157,
    172).
  • Yet the Quran is not the primary and original
    testimony of Jesus.

56
  • Many times the Quran states that God sent
earlier revelations to the Jews and to the
    Christians.
  • The earlier revelations referred to in the Quran
are the Torah (Taurat), the Psalms (Zabur) and
    the Gospel (Injil).
  • These earlier revelations give undeniable
testimony to the God/Man, Lord Jesus Christ!

57
HAVE THE JEWISH AND CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES BEEN
CORRUPTED?
  • God sent His uncorrupted Scriptures more than
500 years before the Quran was written.
  • He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the
Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide to
    mankind (33-4).
  • Say, We believe in the revelation which has
come down to us and in that which came down to
    you (2946 cf. 689, 2136, 546-47, 7157).

58
MUHAMMAD WAS FAMILIAR WITH GODS REVELATIONS TO
THE CHRISTIANS AND THE JEWS Old and New
Testaments
  • Say, O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to
stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the
Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to
you from your Lord (568 cf. 4136, 1094,
    393, 546, 59, 68-69).

59
  • It would be impossible for Christians and Jews to
stand fast by the revelations of the Law and
the Gospels unless these Scriptures were still in
    their possession during Muhammads lifetime.

60
  • Many ancient copies exist of the Law and the
Gospels that are dated centuries before Muhammad
    lived on the earth!
  • Today these writings are known as the Old and New
Testaments. The ancient manuscripts in Hebrew and
Greek prove that the Bible of the 21st century
has not been corruptedit is the same that
Muhammad said to stand fast in!

61
  • Muhammad wrote in the Quran that the Quran was
sent to confirm the Scriptures that God had
sent beforehand This is a Book which We have
sent down, bringing blessings, and confirming
(the revelations)s which came before it (692,
    cf. 240-41, 89, 91, 33).

62
  • The Quran also claims that it guards the
    Scriptures of the Bible (551).
  • If the Bible had become so thoroughly corrupted
as many present day Muslims assert, how could
Muhammad say that the Quran was to confirm and
    guard it

63
GODS REVELATIONS CAN NEVER BE CHANGED BY MEN
  • According to the Quran, it is impossible for
anyone to change or corrupt Gods revelations
There is none that can alter the words (and
decrees) of God (634, cf. 6115) No change
can there be in the words of God (1064 cf.
    1827).

64
  • There is not a single verse in the entire Quran
stating that the earlier Scriptures have ever
been changed by men or abolished by God.
  • True followers of Jesus believe that God is able
to protect His Word from all attacks and slander.

65
Matthew 518
  • 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and
earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no
wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

66
Matthew 2435
  • 35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my
    words shall not pass away.
  • 2000 years later we still have the Words of
    Jesus!!!!

67
What do the Scriptures say about Jesus?
  • The Old Testament prophets tell of Gods
ancient plan to bless all nations through
    Abrahams descendant, the coming Messiah.
  • The Injil testifies that Jesus is this
Messiah, and that He was crucified, buried, and
raised from the dead according to the prophets.
  • (1 Corinthians chapter 15)

68
  • Jesus said These are the words which I spake
unto you, while I was yet with you, that all
things must be fulfilled, which were written in
the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the
    psalms, concerning me (Luke 2444).

69
Old Testament Scriptures Prophecy
New Testament Scriptures
Jesus the Messiah
70
  • Messiah Jesus did many awesome miracles of
healing and deliverance, even raising the dead!
His greatest sign was His own resurrection from
    the dead!

71
  • What was Jesus testimony about Himself in these
Scriptures that were earlier than the Quran and
of which Muhammad said the People of the Book
were to stand fast in them?

shall never hunger and he that believeth on me
    shall never thirst (John 635).
  • I am the light of the world he that followeth me
shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the
    light of life (John 812).

Jesus said
  • I am the way, the truth, and the life no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7If ye had
known me, ye should have known my Father also
and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen
    him (John 146-7).

75
Jesus said
  • 11I am the good shepherd the good shepherd
giveth his life for the sheep. 17Therefore doth
my Father love me, because I lay down my life,
that I might take it again. 18No man taketh it
from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have
power to lay it down, and I have power to take it
again. This commandment have I received of my
    Father (John 1011, 17-18).

John 219-22
  • 19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy
this temple, and in three days I will raise it
up. 20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was
this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up
in three days? 21But he spake of the temple of
his body. 22When therefore he was risen from the
dead, his disciples remembered that he had said
this unto them and they believed the scripture,
and the word which Jesus had said.

79
John 524
  • 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent
me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come
into condemnation but is passed from death unto
    life.

Revelation 117-18
  • 17And when I saw him Jesus, I fell at his feet
as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me,
saying unto me, Fear not I am the first and the
last 18I am he that liveth, and was dead and,
behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen and have
the keys of hell and of death.

Acts 324-26
  • 24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and
those that follow after, as many as have spoken,
have likewise foretold of these days. 25Ye are
the children of the prophets, and of the covenant
which God made with our fathers, saying unto
Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds
of the earth be blessed. 26Unto you first God,
having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless
you, in turning away every one of you from his
    iniquities.

82

and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh
away the sin of the world.
  • (John 129).

84
Matthew 1615-17
  • 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I
am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art
the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And
Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art
thou, Simon Barjona for flesh and blood hath not
revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in
    heaven.

85
John 11-3, 14
  • 1In the beginning was the Word Jesus, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The
same was in the beginning with God. 3All things
were made by him and without him was not any
thing made that was made. 14And the Word was
made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of
the Father,) full of grace and truth.

86
Luke 135
  • 35And the angel answered and said unto her
Mary, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and
the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee
therefore also that holy thing which shall be
born of thee shall be called the Son of God
    Jesus.

  • What about you?
  • Do you believe the prophets?
  • Do you believe that Jesus was telling the truth
about Himself when He claimed to be the Son of
God Who came to take away the sins of the world,
a claim He proved by His resurrection from the
    dead?

88
Why did God send us these revelations?
  • Jesus disciple John gives us the answer
  • 31But these are written, that ye might believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and
that believing ye might have life through his
    name (John 2031).

89
John 141-3
  • 1Let not your heart be troubled ye believe
in God, believe also in me Jesus. 2In my
Fathers house are many mansions if it were not
so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto
myself that where I am, there ye may be also.

90
John 637-40
  • 37All that the Father giveth me Jesus shall
come to me and him that cometh to me I will in
no wise cast out. 38For I came down from heaven,
not to do mine own will, but the will of him that
sent me. 39And this is the Fathers will which
hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me
I should lose nothing, but should raise it up
again at the last day. 40And this is the will of
him that sent me, that every one which seeth the
Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting
life and I will raise him up at the last day.

Acts 412-14
  • 12Neither is there salvation in any other
for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved. 13Now when
they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and
perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant
men, they marvelled and they took knowledge of
them, that they had been with Jesus. 14And
beholding the man which was healed standing with
them, they could say nothing against it.
