The Origin

• Pilot Program introduced in 1992
• Made Pesticide Disposal free and easy to farmers
• Register with the PDA and a disposal contractor
  will come to your farm to pick up your pesticides
  when your county is chosen for participation
• Unlabeled chemicals must first be identified at
  no cost to participant

The Amendments

• Include non-farmers in pick-ups
• Increase liability risks to disposal contractors
• Shorten registration period by 30 days
• Encourage possessors of unidentified chemicals to
  have them identified and disposed of safely

  bring legislation into conformance with current
  practice

• Will protect ecosystems, water supplies, etc.
  from chemical leakage and spilling or human
  contact

• Will increase prices of bids by qualified

  fines
